Why Do Hemp Websites Lack Medical Information?

Powerful interest force censorship of hemp, but not other, herbal supplements

Do you ever wonder why, in spite of many peer-reviewed scientific papers/studies showing medicinal effects of hemp products, you never see claims from those studies on web sites like Boltz to Nutz?

The reason is pretty simple, but concerning; commercial and government censorship. While government censorship isn’t unexpected as the FDA has long focused on protecting the rights of drug producers, it’s the commercial censorship that is more concerning.

By commercial censorship, we mean commercial entities who control route-to-market putting conditions on that route-to-market that favor entrenched interests. For example, larger companies are allowed to advertise CBD products while advertisements from smaller entities and start-ups get flagged a “recreational drugs” or worse by the largest of the online advertising platforms,

The powers that be in the US are aligned with entrenched and monied interests who want nothing more than for CBD and cannabis products to go away as the base cannabinoids cannot be patented for maximum profit, Without question they pose a massive financial threat to entrenched treatments as seen by the drop in pain medicine abuse in areas with widely available hemp and/or cannabis products.

As such growers, processors and product producers in our industry are explicitly forbidden, by entities like the credit card companies and banks, from directly connecting scientific studies to products. It’s not that we can only report claims with extensive scientific support; we cannot report ANY medical benefits whatsoever.

Every other herbal supplement can be labeled with whatever medical claims the seller wants so long as they include the condition that such claims have not been verified by the FDA.

But hemp is different for some reason…

I think it has to be that hemp is so effective for some conditions it poses a real threat to conventional treatments.

Be sure to spend a little time on our Scientific Studies pages to learn more about the things we cannot report directly.
