A Farm Built From Hope
Boltz to Nutz Farm is more than a farm—it’s a story of resilience, healing, and community. Founded by Eric and Yvonne Boltz, together with their children, loved ones, and dedicated volunteers, the farm grew from tragedy into a place of hope and possibility.
In 2015, Eric’s life was forever changed when a negligent driver left him paralyzed from the chest down. A lifelong athlete and cyclist, he faced the physical and emotional challenges of spinal cord injury head-on. With Yvonne at his side, the family turned to nature and innovation, developing safe, natural remedies that support both disabled and able-bodied people alike.
But Boltz to Nutz was never meant to be just a source of products. From the beginning, the farm was designed to be accessible to all. Raised garden beds, a roll-under kitchen, wheelchair-navigable paths, and inclusive manufacturing processes ensure that visitors and employees of every ability can take part.
Today, the Boltz family lives in a fully accessible home on the farm – affectionately called the Cottage. Looking ahead, they plan to replace the original farmhouse with a larger, family-sized accessible home. Once complete, the Cottage will be dedicated to welcoming guests with disabilities and their caregivers, whether for a restorative visit or an adaptive farm experience.
Our nonprofit, BoltzStrong, makes this vision sustainable. As a 501(c)(3), it helps cover the cost of hosting guests with disabilities, expanding adaptive infrastructure, and creating opportunities like cooking classes, gardening programs, and future outdoor activities such as fishing and archery. Every purchase from our farm and Wildcrafted product line also supports these efforts, blending commerce with community.
When you visit Boltz to Nutz, you’ll find more than produce, natural remedies, and handcrafted goods. You’ll discover a welcoming place to walk the fields and forest, enjoy the ponds, meet the animals, and be part of something bigger: a farm built from hope, dedicated to possibility, and rooted in inclusion.
